This jolly wee fantail birdie is created from copper sheet, then embossed and soldered with a vintage china wing and heated copper tail, he is strutting across an original vintage book, amongst lucite flowers and copper foliage in front of a tall copper stemed seed head of silver plated blooms. Some parts are then treated with a crystalline verdigris and some heated to create beautiful copper hues.
The assemblage is 12cm high and comes in a pretty gift box with a signed certificate.
I love my large garden and after planting lots of trees the number and variety of birds is increasing every year, This wee birdie is roughly fashioned on all the little wagtails that love to come and paddle about in the muddy puddles by the pond.
