Come and have a go at making your own ‘Beastie’ in one of my workshops at Lovatt Gallery in Jedburgh. You could make your own picture or freestanding assemblage. It will involve being creative with copper foil, soft soldering, twirling wires, beads and found objects. The workshop is £50 for three hours to make a small assemblage or £80 for six hours to make a grande sized assemblage or large picture. All materials and tea, coffee and choccies will be provided. If staying for the full day I can organise lunch for you in a local cafe or there are bakers and shops on the High Street.
Just bring your spectacles (if you need them) and any pieces of precious china, keys or jewellery you would like to incorporate into your creation, although we have a large selection of china in the gallery you can use.
We do the patination as this takes up to three days to complete. Then your creation can be collected or posted out to you. (There is a postage charge of £5.00 to post your Beastie to you if you can't collect from the gallery)
Framing is extra (£25 to £40) if you decide to do a picture or you can frame it yourself at home.
Organise your own group of at least four and no more than eight and I can do a workshop on your own date that suits you, Or choose a date from the diary below to book a single place on an organised date. Telephone (01835 862960) or fill in the form to book.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you have to cancel, but if I have less than two weeks notice a £40 charge applies.
