A pretty fantailed birdie with china wing and gold leaf tail perches next to a hand painted plaster egg in a nest of silver, brass and copper wire. Then finished in crystalline verdigris and mounted on an antique iron key. It is 120mm tall and comes in a gift box with a signed booklet.
I bought a wee collection of handpainted plaster eggs from a gentleman in England who painstakingly paints little replica eggs for collectors as it is naturally illegal to collect the real things. They were like little works of art so I came up with this new design as an opportunity to use them.
