Seabound - Framed assemblage

Handcrafted in the Scottish Borders

Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, pieces may vary slightly to those shown in photographs.

This brave wee hare made from copper sheet and brass wire sits proudly in his little copper boat, sailing over ripples of china fragments with just a friendly bird perched high in the copper and glass mast for company, the fragments of china bunting fluttering around him, it is coated in crystalline verdigris. The assemblage is mounted and signed on acid free off white card in a cream contemporary style open grain wooden box frame, 230mm x 280mm.

"There is nothing - absolutely - nothing so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats" Kenneth Grahams RATTY once said. I quite agree, although my boys have to make do with a tiny dingy on our wee pond.
