A Fox Jumped Out One Summer’s Night - Framed Assemblage

Handcrafted in the Scottish Borders

Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, pieces may vary slightly to those shown in photographs.

A crafty fox made from embossed copper sheet with a mother of pearl button and brass whiskers is scurrying through a meadow of beaded seed heads and handmade porcelain flowers, it is then coated in crystalline verdigris and assembled on a piece of vintage crockery. The assemblage is then mounted and signed on acid free off white card in a cream contemporary style open grain wooden box frame, 230mm x 280mm.

'The Thought Fox’ by Ted Hughes is one of my favourite poems. It inspired me to come up with this picture but instead of ‘sets neat prints into the snow’ mine is on the run through a colourful summer meadow.
