This cosy little birdie is made from embossed copper sheet with a vintage china wing. He has a twirled and beaded brass tail with a soldered tin beak. Sitting proudly on his nest of silver, brass and copper wires with glass beads and handmade porcelain flowers, then finished with crystalline verdigris. It is mounted and signed on acid free off white card in a cream contemporary style open grain wooden box frame, 220mm x 260mm.
The bird families in my garden nest in such curious places, nooks and crannies including everyday discarded objects. This little birdie has found a very fine new home.
