An adorable little blackbird made from embossed copper sheet with a pretty china wing and a soldered tin beak, he is then finished in Indian ink and crystalline verdigris. Prancing on an vintage ceramic thimble with red glass strawberries, a sprig of patinated copper leaves and a wee dragonfly charm. He is 95mm from top to bottom and comes in a gift box with a signed booklet.
This year with the drought the blackbirds have raided my fruit garden leaving me very little. But you can't help loving them.
